Reasons to Maintain Your Beauty Reservation for a Salon

Reasons to Maintain Your Beauty Reservation for a Salon

There are many reasons why you should keep your salon appointment. Taking care of your hair saves you time and money. Getting a regular trim prevents this mess from occurring in the first place. A cut that is the perfect length and shape will be easy to style in the mornings. There has never been a better time to get your hair done than now.

Maintain your reservation out of courtesy. If you don't show up or cancel at the last minute, your stylist will be left with no money when he or she could have filled that time slot.

True, life is hectic. There are numerous things vying for your time and attention. There is precious little time left for you between work, kids, family, and household chores. So it's understandable that things like salon appointments fall to the bottom of your priority list. But is your next hair cut at the bottom of your "to do" list?

Of course, the answer to that question is no. There are numerous reasons why you should keep your salon appointment. Aside from taking some time and relaxing for yourself, which I know will not motivate you because all of your energy goes toward enriching the lives of others rather than your own, there are many practical reasons why you should not call and cancel your next reservation.

Here are ive of them:

1. Taking care of your hair saves you time. You know how it is: your hair is fine until that fateful morning when you realize it is way past due for a trim. It simply will not work. So, after hours of attempting to coerce your hair into the style that it held beautifully just yesterday, you accept that nothing short of a haircut will fix your bad hair day. But we all know that a last-minute haircut is difficult to come by.

That means you'll be wasting time trying to style your overgrown hair for the next week or so while you wait for your reservation. Only if you had kept your initial reservation. Getting a regular trim, even if you think you can wait another week or two, prevents this mess from occurring in the first place. A cut that is the perfect length and shape will be easy to style in the mornings, saving you time.

2. You save money by keeping your reservation. If your stylist has regular opportunities to keep your hair in pristine condition, he or she will need to do less in the long run to keep you looking stunning. If you allow your style to grow out or your color to fade, your stylist will have to do more work to bring your stray tresses back into line. More work equals more time, which we all know equals money.

3. There has never been a better time to get your hair done than now. Sure, we all believe that we will have more time next week and that our workload will be lighter than it is now. But how often does this occur? Let's be honest: next week will be just as hectic as this week. And when you're stressed out, a little R&R will give you the energy you need to keep going.

4. Another reservation is scheduled in a few weeks. Why do you visit a stylist? It's because he or she is an excellent stylist who understands your hair inside and out. If your stylist is this good with you, I'm sure there are other clients who are desperate for your stylist's services. If you miss this reservation, you may have to wait weeks for another.

5. Maintain your reservation out of courtesy. When you make a reservation, your stylist takes time out of their busy day to cater to you. If you don't show up or cancel at the last minute, your stylist will be left with no money when he or she could have filled that time slot with another guest. If you repeatedly cancel reservations, you may be placed on a pay in advance or last minute reservation list. In some cases, you may even be fired if you miss too many reservations.

To be sure, things happen that necessitate canceling an appointment. If this is the case, please allow at least 24 business hours and reschedule as soon as possible. Not only will your stylist appreciate it, but so will your hair.
